The objective of the civil engineering program is to prepare graduates for professional careers in civil engineering. A major goal is to provide civil engineering students with the best possible education toward that end. The general option allows the student to pursue a B.E. in civil engineering degree in a broader general program or, if a specific career objective has been identified, to concentrate on one or more areas within the general option.
